Grantham Police Department Press Release

June 13, 2008

The Grantham Police Department is issuing the following information concerning an attempted abduction of an adult female last evening, June 12th, around 11:30pm in the Dunbar Hill, Olde Farms area of town, while she was walking her dog.

The suspect that attempted to force the victim into a vehicle is described as a white male, 40 to 45 years old, around 5'6" tall, very heavy, with a wide nose and inset eyes, either bald or shaven head, with a large colorful tattoo on his right arm and was wearing a ball cap and dark tee shirt with a design on the front.  The victim's dog foiled the abduction when it attacked this suspect and he could have a dog bite on his right forearm.

The only information on the second suspect, the driver of the vehicle, is that he had a very raspy voice.

The vehicle was described as a large dark colored, four door sedan with loud exhaust.  The victim reported that the right tail / brake light on the vehicle was out and it smelled strongly of exhaust.  The only description on the license place was that it was dark colored.
